Slipped and fell.

Friday was a very scary expirience for me. I ate it BIG time on the front door steps. It was raining and I was rushing and before I knew it? I was on my side crying in the rain and no one was home to help me. Everyone had already left for the day. Once I was able to breath again (got the wind knocked out of me) I got back up and carefully went inside. I assessed the damage and changed my clothes. I drank some cold soda and laid on my side to try and get the baby to move. Well, she moved 1 kick and thats all I could get out of her. So I used my doppler and got her heart beat so I assumed she was fine.
However the pain in my hips and back was NOT fine. I couldnt decide if it was cramps or aching from the fall. I decided I would go to work and if it didnt get better call the doctor since Sand Canyon is down the street from me. When it wasnt getting better with tyleonal and relaxing so I put in the call and was told to come in immediately. That whenver something like that happened while pregnant I needed to come to Labor & Delivery right away. Well, I didnt know that, lol. So I packed up at work and headed in. I was expecting a quick eval, maybe them listening to the heart beat or something routine like that. What I didnt expect was a 4.5 hour stay in Labor & Delivery Observance.
So I got there and they had me change out of my clothes and into hospital gowns (after peeing in a cup for them like usual) and hooked me up to the different monitors. They put these like elastic belts around your stomach with round flat things that monitor things. For me, one was a contraction monitor and one was a fetal monitor. I also had my blood pressure cuff on.
I couldnt get ahold of David so I called my mom who had a panic attack and went into hysterics. haha. She sent Kat over because she didnt want me sitting alone. She then proceeded to blow up Davids cell phone leave him threating voicemails to get his butt over to the hospital lol. I decided not to have David come once I got ahold of him becasue he simply passes out at hospitals and gets sick and freaks... so since I was just being monitored I figured it was okay to having him just keep checking on me via text and phone calls. He took me out to a fancy dinner that nice to whatever I wanted to eat (lobster & crab legs lol) because he felt so bad about everything that happened.

So since I was bored I took some pictures to document the expirience by:

I forgot to take a picture of my yummy lunch haha. It was a chicken ranch salad, bread roll with margerine, peach slices, and juice.

This monitor was the blood pressure cuff and the babies heart beat and stuff. Her heart beat stayed around 150 the entire time.
This one was the monitors on my stomach. The top graph with the yellow line was Adellas heart beat monitor. Its all broken up here because I moved to try and take a picture (this was HOURS into my stay lol) so it came up off her for a little bit. But it was pretty consistant the entire I was there. Like I said, about 150.
The bottom graph with the white line was my contraction monitor. If you look at the front of the graph it has some bumps (those were just me moving) but this was during a "break". Aparently I was having irregular contractions and I just didnt know it. I could only feel them when I would watch the monitor and see that they were happening lol. It sort of felt like a slight ache or gas pain. Like barely anything. They reached an "8" on the scale (scale goes up to 12) at one point but either the pain in my back over rode them or they really just didnt hurt that bad. I have heard contractions hurt much worse once your water is broken. Mine were VERY irregular and mild Im assuming.
This is me bored in my bed. I had sent Kat home since they told me at least another hour (this was 2 hours in... I was there another 2.5 hours) and the lights were off as I was told to try and "rest". I will say... it was so nice laying there in the cool room with my eyes closed just listening to Adella's heart beat and the sounds of her moving in there. It was really peaceful and nice. At one point she got the hiccups and not only could I FEEL her hiccups... but I could HEAR the little thumps over her monitor. THAT was freaking neat.
These were my ID tags. The red one was to let people know I have an allergy (erythromicyn) and the white one is all my information and stuff.
So after all was said and done... I am okay. The baby is okay. The contractions went away and I was released but put back on pelvic rest completely. Bummer. Well.. bummer for David lol. I have an appointment tomorrow (regular prenatal one) and Im sure I will get some sort of "update" from Dr Hayton.
