The last weekend of February

So I had a pretty good weekend. It started early for me because I didnt go to work on Friday. (BAAAAD CASSI! haha). Instead I went to breakfast with my girlfriend B and her 5 week old son David. I loveeee babies so much. I love children in general. So we had breakfast and chit chatted. He woke up about half way through so I held him while B ate (I got full halfway through so I couldnt eat any more). He was FASCINATED with the windows. Im not sure what they see at that age so Im assuming it was more the bright lights that caught his attention. I guess I should start reading about the development of babies/infants since I will have one soon.

After breakfast I went home and took a nap until noon and then got up and ready. David took a half day so come hang with me so he got home right about then and we got dressed and headed over to pick up Stevie to have lunch and go to Disney. We had a bit of trouble trying to figure out what to eat because I am so picky right now haha. We decided on Panda Express and got all excited and into the parking lot only to find that it wasnt even open yet. Just being built. GRR! So then we went to L&L Hawaiian BBQ. I never go there because I always leave saying "That was not good" lol. But we went. And all of us left saying "That was not good". Guess I should cross them off my list and not go there ever again because it really is not good haha. Then we went to Disney for a few hours and had a lot of fun. I got to ride my favorite ride (Pirates) and I never get to ride it because usually we go to Disney with the Matsons and Kalen wont let me ride jack diddley crap cause I am pregnant. So I have to sneak onto that ride when he isnt there because I freaking LOVE it haha. I dont know why, it just is my favorite ride. Maybe someday I will have a son and I can decorate his room pirate themed because I just LOVE that ride haha. So we chilled at Disney and then went over to DCA and then called it quits because my back was KILLING me. Dropped Stevie off at home.

Then we met up with the Johnsons for dinner at Outback Steak House. It was a good meal, except I dropped a thing of ranch on David. (If you know David... you understand why this was such a huge deal) I also ordered my steak medium well and it came out WELL. So then they brought me an entirely new plate haha. Like sides and all. So that was cool. She was a very good waitress. She said "I know better then to get a pregnant womans food wrong" haha. I dont care for outback and the last time I went it was B-A-D but this time it was good and the service was really good. After dinner we called it a night and David and I went home and just chilled together with our puppies.

Saturday we woke up bright and early and went to the LA temple for Davids oldest sister Mariannes endowments. Here is a picture of a few of us at the temple:
I look like a black and white blimp haha.
I have never done endowment sessions anywhere but at Newport so it was a neat expirience for me. Its the exact same "endowment session" but you just move to more rooms. There are 4 rooms in the LA temple while newport only has 2 rooms. Just more scenery to take in if you will. So just becasue its such a cool expirience I suggest going to the LA temple for an endowment session if you have never gone before. Its neat. After the session we stayed and had lunch with everyone at the temple cafeteria. Afterwards David and I headed home.

We got home in time for a quick nap and then we went with grandpa to get our 3D/4D ultrasound. It was a lot of fun, but the baby was being a stinker and not cooperating. She had her legs over her face (she was folded in half lol) and wouldnt budge for the life of me. I mean, this baby moves 24-7 and the one time I neeeeeeed her to move around? She is as still as a statue lol. After much proding and poking she moved her legs down lightly (into a ball instead of in half) and then put her arm over her face. AHHH! So I kept poking and rubbing and trying to coax her into behaving... but she wouldnt. Finally David got next to my stomach and said into it "Adella, put your arm down" and she put it down immediately. WHAT!? haha. So she listens to David and not me!? haha. The technitian was laughing so hard and David was just smiling like "Duh of course she listens to me" which made me want to smack him lol. Then she started to move her arm back and he goes "No Adella. Dont even think about it" and she puts her arm right back down. It was comical. I am going to pretend it was just a coincidence and that she doesnt ignore me and listen to only her father lol.

Here are some pictures from the ultrasound, sorry they are so blurry. Its a picture on my cell of the ultrasound pictures:
Then David and I just hung around Saturday night and had dinner with grandpa. It was peaceful and calm and over all enjoyable. It was nice to not be on anyones schedule. Just to relax at home and be lazy haha.

Then Sunday we went to church. After church David had some home teaching appointments (haha it was the LAST day of the month literally). I went with him to one of them since I am the visiting teacher for that family as well. It turns out that the mother of the husband was my 7th grade teacher haha. SMALL WOLRD! Then we went home and cleaned up and waited for the Matsons to show up. They came over and hung out and we ate defomed burgers (for whatever reason that burgers didnt want to stay in burger shape lol) and watched the kids play around.

Makalah was in heaven with her chocolate chip cookies:
Brookie broke in our high chair as she ate her little puff snacks:
They are both such happy kids. Brookie is so in love with her big sister, its adorable. Brook would crawl over to the puppies and laugh at them and then Leo would bark (kind of) because he wanted her to come closer to the cage so he could lick her (or something) and the loud noise would FREAK her out and she would start crying. Then Megan would calm her down and put her back on the floor to play and then she would crawl to the dogs and the process would repeat. Haha. So I dont think she is scared of the dogs becuase she kept going back to them... just scared of the noises they make haha.

After we ate and stuff we headed over to camp to visit Nancy (Kalens mom) and play a game of Settlers. We got to his moms house around 7:30 and Kalen started setting the game up around 7:50:
Then after we got our snacks and drinks in order we began playing at like 8pm. It was a fun game and we were all getting into it. Unfortunately some of us more then others lol. But once the newbies got the hang of it and the vets adjusted to the "new" rules that Kalen set it was a good game. Here is all of us playing:
Eventually everyone was so busy crossing one another off that it came down to me and Megan being the only people who could possibly win. So since her and I were exhausted we agreed to call it a tie and end the game. That was at like midnight i believe? I took a picture of the clock lol a long time before the game ended...
I was glad the game was over because there was a particular friend there whose voice drives me up a wall. I love accents... but the TONE of this persons voice is like nails on a chalk board. Everything about that person just annoyed me. What they were saying, how they said it, and just them lol. I usually dont feel that way about people but this person just BUGGGGGED me. I feel bad saying that. Im sure its because I was tired and hot and pregnant lol.

So David and I left and it took us forever to drive from Nancys house out to the main road because of the stupid cotton tail rabbits. They would dart back inforth infront of the car and David was to scared to drive over them lol. So he was like going 2mph with his head out the window yelling at the rabbits while I am pretty much dying from loss of oxygent I am laughing so hard. It was probably one of the funniest expiriences I have with David to day. Right now I am laughing in my head pretty hard just remembering how David was acting and stuff lol. IT WAS SO FUNNY!!! Little suicide rabbits.

So then we got home way to late on a work night and thats when my good weekend turned bad for the most part.

For whatever reason the baby just was not down with any position I was in and made sure I knew it. If I laid on my back she would like bounce which put so much pressure on my spine that I would wake up in pain. So I would try my sides and if I lay DIRECTLY on my side it kills my hips (sacrioloitis) and so I have to lay on my side kind of forward so like 1/2 on my belly. Well... she kicks and its the kind of kick that says "Hey... get the h-e-double hockey sticks OFF of me" lol. So then I would wake up from getting kicked so hard. I would try sleeping in a sitting up position and she was not down for that either. Id get bycicle legs in my ribs lol. So I literally had maybe an hour of sleep combined. It was brutal. And the worst part about it? David slept like a corpse in a perfectly still state with no talking and his mask flat against his face the entire night. He was SILENT. The one night he is quiet... is the night I get to sit up listening to his dead silence. GRRR!!!

Then the worst Monday in a long time ensued....
Then I get to work and had issues. I work at the reception desk right now which is in the lobby. It is "public" space so we cant leave case files and stuff out over night or unattended because they have sensitive materials. I know this, so I never leave stuff out. When I left Thursday I put everything away. Well, I was out Friday and Friday morning an attorney supervisor dropped off some appeals for me to close not knowing I was going to be out. Well a certain employee here who likes to cause drama and throw people under the bus was covering the front desk for the morning shift. She saw the case files and assumed I had left them out over night. So instead of sending me an email letting me know they cant be left out or something... she makes a HUGE scene and emails my boss, the hearing office director, AND the managing law judge saying that I left sensitive material out and that its not acceptable. WHAT THE HECK! If she had taken a minute and asked around she would have found out that those cases had been dropped off that morning and I was not here to recieve them so I had no idea they were even out. Instead... she emails the entire chain of command and tries to make me look like an idiot. So I get into work and see these emails and am VERY aggitated. Then to make matters worse she comes up to me all matter of factly and tells me that the HOD (hearing office director) walked by and saw the files and was very angry at me. So then I am worried that I am in big trouble on top being angry that she stirred the pot like this. Well, I sent an email back and CC'd all the people she did explaing that I was not here, and I did not leave any files out (in a polite way of course) but that I was grateful she took notice of the additional cases and put them in a secure place. (Even though she did it in a way to make me look bad). A couple hours passed and the HOD walked by to go home and I again verbally apologized for the mix up. He then told me "Its not big deal at all, I know that you are very on top of all this and I am just grateful that you are assiting the teams and doing this extra work for us up here. I never would have known if "Employee" hadnt came up to bring it to my attention. But its fine just keep doing what your doing". UH WHAT!? SHE CAME UP AND BROUGHT IT TO YOUR ATTENTION!? lol. So then my furry shifted to all out war against this person.

About an hour later I was talking to the 2 other admin assistants who were really annoyed by this situation she created as well and were telling me what ACTUALLY happened which was FAR different then the story she told me. So when she came back up (while the 2 other admin assts were still talking to me) I told her "So I spoke with Andreas. In the future when you are unsure of something up here at the front feel free to email me and I will clear it up. I dont appriciate you going to the HOD and MALJ about things that are nominal and end up making me look bad." She responds by "Well, the HOD was very upset when he heard about this." so I said "Really? Cause you told me he walked by and was the one to notice it. Not that you were the one to walk all the way upstairs to his office and bring it to his attention. Which by the way, he told me how that exactly went down. So I know that you you are lying to me so that you dont look bad. Thats fine, whatever, but in the future-- please consider the entire situation before making a huge scene". She just walked away. There was nothing she could say. She was caught. So then I was in a better mood. Luckily.

It wasnt a bad day like bad things kept happening... just a bad day in that I was exhausted, I was barfing all day (darn morning sickness again) and then had to deal with petty drama from a stupid coworker. When i got home David started dinner and I finished it for us and then we watched a show together and then I watched the Secret Life and went to bed. haha.

Hopefully today is a better day. I feel better today, I feel more rested today, and I dont have any fires to deal with here at work today. Luckily. Im eating ice cold seedless red grapes so I would say we are off to a good start haha.

I am now 31 weeks and 2 days pregnant.
Im not sure why I am looking down in all these pictures lol. Notice the nasty navel in the white shirt? Ya... its onyl geting worse lol. It seems to be worse in the mornings when her butt is pushed out against it. But She moves slightly diaganol as the day goes on. But every morning I wake up with a head down butt out baby. lol.

Alright... until next time :)
