busy little worker bee's

I'm sorry that I have neglected my poor blog.
Life has been hectic to say the least. When I get a free moment, its usually spent with David or the puppies. I have been on the go no stop and I am actually enjoying it. I wouldn’t mind a week or so to catch up on sleep but hey—who wouldn’t?

The puppies (aka toddler pups) are growing faster then you can believe it. They are so big now! I mean, granted they are still miniature weenie dogs… they look a lot bigger to me. Usually I'm not good at telling the difference in size (I had a cat that I swore was the size of a kitten its whole stint of life with me). They are really good dogs. They crack me up, and have such funny personalities. Grandpa isn’t really that big of a fan WHEN WE ARE AROUND lol. As soon as we leave the room… he is there sneaking them treats and petting them. HE just doesn’t want us to know he likes them. They like him too, but they are scared of him at the same time because he rules with an iron fist lol. He is much stricter on them then I am. They aren’t peeing inside anymore, and if they do it’s a rare occasion that we forgot to open the back door or something. They love walks, but Leo is my lazy doggie. He will walk, and then want me to carry him, and then walk, and then want to be carried. While Xerxes embraces the day and walks forward the entire time lol.

Work has been a whirlwind. I started my new position last Monday and dived nose deep into work that seriously was piled to the ceiling. It was RIDICULOUS!! I am basically cleaning up after one Judge and preparing for another Judge. Judge A ran his team very loosely with little to no organization and a complete mess for me to try and clean up. He however is one of the funniest old men you will ever meet and makes the day enjoyable regardless of the craziness. The new Judge (whom I haven’t met yet, only “heard” of) is coming next Monday and she is rumored to be a very strict, orderly, no-fuss get’er done kind of woman. I am excited for the organization and such because that just makes the day easier and your job easier. I'm not so excited for the no more laughing thing but hey. Maybe she isn’t her bad… or maybe her reputation will precede her. Lol. So if you emailed, called, texted, sent smoke signals or a pigeon gram… and received no response, well its because I am shackled to my desk trying to learn my new duties and get everything done. FUN!

Weight Watchers is still going great. I had my first gain on Week 8, only .8 though so not to bad. I worked really hard the following week and got it all off , plus another 2.2 on top of it so it’s okay.
After Week 1: 8.6lbs
After Week 2: 3.8lbs
After Week 3: 1.0lbs
After Week 4: 0.8lbs
After Week 5: 2.0lbs
After Week 6: 1.4lbs
After Week 7 :3.0lbs
After Week 8 :+.8lbs (OOPS!)
After Week 9 :3.0lbs
After Week 10: ?? (we will see tomorrow)
Grand Total: -22.8 pounds gone!!
I'm really excited. In just over 2 months I have finished almost ¼ of my journey. I am only like 4 pounds shy of it! That’s really good! However, I know that it won’t always be this easy ya know? Soon there will be a plateau and weight loss will slow down but I'm just going to keep trucking along through it. My ultimate goal is -110pounds in 18 months (78 weeks). So I am down to 69 weeks to lose 87.2 pounds. So if I can average about a pound a week for the next 69ish weeks… well, I will have made my goal J The only thing that could mess this up is a baby J

Speaking of which… things on the adoption front are good. We are still just preparing, saving, planning, researching…etc. There are only a few more months before we officially put in our adoption application for our home study at the end of the summer. I'm really excited about that J As far as biological babies… that’s in the Lords hand. I give up, and now I just am charting cycles to chart and know when my period will start. That’s about it as far as that goes. I'm just lovin’ on all the kids in my life and for now, that will be sufficient. My heart ACHES for a baby of our own (biological or adoptive) but sometimes we have to want what the Lord wants for us more then what we want for us. So I'm just trying to be a faithful servant and I know one day he will reward us for it J

David is in the middle of finals right now. We don’t see each other much during this time because he is busy studying and such. I try to give him his space because I always inevitably end up distracting him from studying and then he is unprepared and I feel bad. Cant wait for the semester to be over for him!!!

Linda’s wedding is coming up so soon!! We are all really excited about it. I have the perfect dress and I'm just so excited to see her get to where I know she wants to be. Her and Richie are such good people for doing it right ya know? I'm so proud of them. YAY!!

That’s all I got for now… I will update after I weigh in tomorrow. Hopefully I will have a loss to report and not a gain.

First off....Congrats with the baby. You have made it much farther than I did.

Second...I thought I would tell you because we are both always on the same journey. According to the scale today (since Monday is my weigh day) I have lost 40 pounds!!!!!!!!!

Anyway that's what I wanted to say. So have a good rest of the day!
